Where an AI feature processes personal data, Kaiwa will seek to provide appropriate information about what information is processed, why, whether it is shared with an AI service provider, whether it is retained, and the controls available to you.
Kaiwa will not represent that all communications are excluded from AI processing unless that is technically and contractually true. Specific AI features, AI providers, processing locations and retention periods will be documented before the corresponding functionality is launched.
We do not sell your personal information for advertising purposes. Kaiwa currently does not operate third-party advertising on the platform. We may share information in limited circumstances necessary to operate Kaiwa or comply with law.

Kaiwa is initially intended for users in India. Where personal data is processed or stored outside India, or transferred to a service provider located outside India, such processing will be subject to applicable legal requirements and appropriate safeguards. The locations used for processing will depend on Kaiwa's infrastructure and service providers. Kaiwa will update this Privacy Policy where material changes to international processing require additional disclosure.
Kaiwa stores information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Services, maintain accounts, fulfil legitimate operational requirements and comply with applicable legal obligations.
Messages are currently stored while the relevant account and/or conversation data exists. Kaiwa's precise retention periods for messages, deleted accounts, backups, logs and other categories of information are still being formally defined. Accordingly, Kaiwa does not currently promise a specific universal deletion period for every category of information. Once formal retention schedules are established, Kaiwa will publish or incorporate the applicable periods into this Privacy Policy and related data-retention documentation.
Information may be retained for longer where required by applicable law, for security purposes, dispute resolution, fraud prevention or establishment/exercise/defence of legal claims.
Kaiwa provides an in-app mechanism through which users can request or initiate deletion of their account and associated information (Settings → Delete my account), or without the app via kaiwahq.com/delete-account.
The exact server-side deletion process, including treatment of backups, logs, legal holds and residual technical copies, is subject to the final implementation of Kaiwa's deletion and retention architecture. Where deletion is requested, some information may need to be retained where required or permitted by law or where necessary for security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution or legal compliance. Kaiwa will not claim that every copy of information is immediately and permanently erased unless the technical deletion process supports that statement.
Kaiwa takes reasonable technical and organisational measures designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration or disclosure. Current security functionality includes:
Kaiwa does not currently provide end-to-end encryption (E2EE). No internet-based service can guarantee absolute security. Users should protect their credentials, verification codes and devices and should report suspected security incidents promptly to [email protected].
Kaiwa provides two-factor verification as an additional account-security measure. Where enabled, it provides an additional authentication step intended to reduce the risk of unauthorized account access. Users should keep authentication information confidential and should never share verification codes with another person.
Kaiwa provides users with controls that may allow them to determine who can see certain information and interact with their account. These controls currently include settings relating to:
The availability of specific controls may vary according to the version of Kaiwa and applicable product functionality.
Subject to applicable law and the commencement and applicability of relevant provisions, users may have rights concerning their personal data, which may include rights to:
India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 establishes a framework for processing digital personal data and provides rights and obligations that are being implemented through the notified DPDP Rules, 2025. The Rules use a phased commencement structure. Kaiwa will provide appropriate mechanisms for exercising applicable rights as the relevant provisions become applicable.
Privacy requests may be sent to [email protected].
Kaiwa is currently intended for individuals aged 13 years or older. The minimum-age requirement and related parental/guardian requirements are subject to review and confirmation by Kaiwa's legal adviser and may be modified to comply with applicable law in particular jurisdictions.
Kaiwa does not knowingly seek to collect personal data from children below the applicable minimum age except where permitted and appropriately authorized by applicable law. If you believe that a child below the applicable minimum age has created an account or provided personal information to Kaiwa, contact [email protected].
Kaiwa's website or application may use cookies or similar technologies where necessary for authentication, session management, security, preferences, functionality, and performance and diagnostics.
Kaiwa currently has no confirmed third-party analytics or advertising systems. If analytics, advertising or other tracking technologies are introduced, Kaiwa will update its applicable disclosures and consent mechanisms where required.
Kaiwa may rely on third-party infrastructure and service providers to operate the Services. Current infrastructure includes Hostinger VPS. Other third-party services may be introduced as Kaiwa evolves. Where third-party services process personal information on Kaiwa's behalf, Kaiwa will seek to implement appropriate contractual, security and privacy controls. A current subprocessor/service-provider list may be published separately where required or appropriate.
Kaiwa may receive requests from law-enforcement authorities, courts, regulators or other authorized government bodies. Kaiwa reviews such requests and responds in accordance with applicable law. Where legally permitted, Kaiwa may seek to limit disclosures to information relevant to the lawful request. Kaiwa may also preserve information where legally required or where necessary to comply with a valid legal obligation.
Users may raise privacy-related grievances by contacting:
Grievance Officer: Rahul Singh
Designation: Founder
Email: [email protected]
Kaiwa will establish and publish the applicable grievance-handling procedure, including acknowledgement, review and resolution mechanisms, in accordance with applicable law.
Kaiwa maintains processes for identifying, investigating and responding to security incidents. Where applicable, Kaiwa will take appropriate steps to contain and investigate incidents and make legally required notifications to relevant authorities and/or affected users. Kaiwa also maintains security and incident-response processes having regard to applicable Indian cybersecurity requirements, including applicable CERT-In directions (28 April 2022) addressing cyber-incident reporting, information-security practices and related recordkeeping requirements.
Kaiwa may update this Privacy Policy when the Services change, new features are introduced, data-processing practices change, legal or regulatory requirements change, or security or operational practices change. Where changes are material, Kaiwa will take reasonable steps to provide appropriate notice. The latest version will be published through the Kaiwa website or application.
